Boosting your metabolism requires faith, self-discipline and a willingness to change. This is because most slow metabolisms are the result of years of bad habits and a reluctance to adopt a healthier life style.

There is no one magic bullet or pill that will automatically boost your metabolism. It takes a slow, steady dedication to following through on each of the following top ten ways to boost your metabolism.

1. Train With Weights – Aerobic exercise is good for you but it is the anaerobic exercise that involves the lifting of weights that is going to transform fatty tissue into fat burning muscle.
This is because muscle tissue is metabolically active tissue. This means that it burns calories even while you are at rest. Thus it stands to reason that the more muscle you have the more calories your body is going to burn.

2. Participate in High Intensity Aerobics – Whenever you perform an aerobic activity such as swimming, dancing or cycling and perform it with the intention of raising your heart rate your body experiences an oxygen deficit.
This causes your metabolism to go into overdrive and eliminate toxins and wastes quickly from your system.

3. Don’t Avoid All Fats – Stay away from saturated fats and eat fats that are rich in omega 3 and omega 6 oils.
Depriving yourself of all fats will cause your metabolism to slow down as your body begins to believe it is starving and goes into fat conservation mode. This makes it difficult for fat cells to be transferred to the bloodstream where they can be used for fueling the muscles.

4. Eat Several Small Meals a Day – Whenever your body is busy digesting, your metabolic rate is raised. Snacking on healthy foods several times a day keeps your metabolism elevated and working efficiently.

5. Stay Away From Refined Foods – The harder your body has to work to process a food, the more your metabolism in raised.
Refined foods are in a sense already partly digested and speed sugars and fats directly into your blood stream. This lowers the metabolism. Whole foods, especially if they are raw, take longer to digest.

6. Eat Low Glycemic Carbohydrates – Low glycemic carbohydrates are ones that take the body longer to metabolize. These include fibrous, slow to digest vegetables such as celery and broccoli and all of the beans in the legume family.

7. Vary Your Overall Calorie Intake – The more you disturb your body’s metabolism by refusing to let it settle in an overall routine the more your metabolism will speed up. Don’t make it your goal to eat exactly 1200 calories a day. Eat 900 one day and 1600 the next.

8. Eat More Protein – Make at least 30% of your daily diet protein. If you do this then your body will utilize 30% of your total caloric intake for the day just to digest the protein.

9. Drink Ice Cold Water – The colder the water is that you drink, the more your body will have to expend calories to raise it to your body temperature. This helps increase your metabolism.

10. Take the Stairs! – Taking the stairs and not the elevator can help boost your metabolism. The same goes for choosing to bike to work rather than driving and parking far away from the store in the mall parking lot.

Remember that when it comes to boosting your metabolism every little bit of extra energy expenditure counts even though it does not seem like much at the time!

If you’re currently building a network marketing distributorship, what are your 2 biggest business challenges?

OK. Would you like to do something about them? I bet you would. And here’s the first thing you need to know:

These challenges are not your fault!

***The cards were stacked against you right from the start!***

You just didn’t know it. You didn’t realize it. And here is why they were stacked against you.

Let’s take a very close look at the network marketing business model, because that’s where you find the reason for network marketing business failure. You’re an entrepreneur, you’re here to make money, you’re in business. So it makes sense to look at the business model, doesn’t it?

What I’ve seen is that very often it’s your company’s business model that causes your problems, not you. Let me give you an example. I’m sure you’ve seen network marketing companies that brag about having a huge, multi-million dollar home office. They have pictures of it on the website, flash presentations, it’s on all the brochures. But the millions of dollars that paid for that building is money that you will never get back in your compensation plan.

In network marketing, the ONLY place that money is made, whether by the distributors or the company, is from the compensation plan. Your MLM company does not have another stream of income that generates money for them.

***Company Income Always And Only Comes From YOUR Compensation Plan***

So whatever spending you see, that is money that will not come back to you in the compensation plan.

But here’s where it really gets ugly. Your company’s beautiful building requires maintenance. They need a cleaning staff. It has to be painted, windows have to be maintained, bathrooms have to be maintained, these buildings get cleaned every night. They have a water bill, an electric bill, heating, air conditioning. They do everything necessary to make that building a showplace for the company.

***Who Is Paying That Monthly Bill?***

Where’s the money coming from?

Correct – it’s coming from your compensation plan. That is money that you will never receive in your check. It’s gone. That “stolen” income is a big reason for network marketing business failure.

Now … when do YOU plan on using that building?

Did I hear you say, “Never!”?

Exactly. You will never use that building, yet you are paying for it. And that’s not all. These bloated network marketing companies brag about their call center, and the hundreds of employees they have sitting there, ready to take your order, giving you the best possible customer service.

But every one of those people is a salaried employee. They get health benefits, maternity leave, vacation leave, sick leave. The company has sexual harrassment insurance. Those employees get bonuses over the years, raises. Each one works in an office at a desk, with a phone and computer.

That is a monthly bill.

***Who Is Paying THIS Bill?***

Exactly. YOU are! (Are you beginning to notice a nasty trend?) That’s more money again that will never come back to you in the compensation plan.

Now … where do you think THIS business model will go in the future? Do you think your company will have less expenses or more expenses?

Sure. It’ll be more. As the building gets older, it needs more maintenance. The longer people work there, the more salary they expect. As the business builds, they’ll outgrow the building … and, of course, build another new building!

Another good indicator of the heart of a company is, where is the warehouse located? Most cities have a warehouse district, very low-rent, low cost. It makes sense for businesses to keep their stock there. But most MLM companies have the warehouse right next to their big new building. Why? Because it’s more impressive, and they can say, “Look at us! Look what we’ve done!”

***Who Pays For That Extra Expense?***

Yes, of course. It is you.

So what’s the solution? The key is to find a streamlined MLM business … one that doesn’t feel the need to put on a gaudy show with YOUR money! I’ll talk more about that in just a moment.

First, let me give you an example of how this high-overhead business model affects YOUR ability to build your business.

I’m thinking of 3 different companies right now. They all market the same product, a multi-vitamin pack. It’s an awesome product, flat-out works, and all 3 companies market the identical formula, identical raw ingredients. Except Company #3 has also added to the formula a chelated enzyme to allow you to digest & absorb nutrients better.

Now would you agree with me, that to produce that product, same quantity, same quality, same formula, the cost of production for those companies is within pennies of each other?

Of course it is.

Well, Company #1 markets the 30-day supply of that vitamin pack for $117. So do you think you’re going to be able to retail that to someone? Do you know anybody who would gladly pay you $117 for a 30-day supply of a multi-vitamin pack, regardless of how great it is?

I’ll bet you don’t. It’ll be tough, for sure. So therefore, you’re going to have a challenge to retail that product.

Company #2 sells the same formula for $108. It’s still expensive. You’re still going to have a challenge retailing that.

Company #3, which has the same formula, with the added chelated enzyme, so you can digest & absorb it better, sells it for $39.95. Now, I ask you, is that affordable? Do you think you know people who may purchase that product from you?

Absolutely.

***The Business Model Drives The Behavior***

So what kind of behavior do these different business models create in the field? Here’s what happens.

People who market the more expensive products spend their time recruiting. This is where the money is made for them. There’s no money in retailing for them, because nobody’s going to pay that high price for that product.

So what do they have to do? They have to recruit, recruit, recruit.

And what happens after you join them? When they sponsor you into the business, they have no time to work with you! You’re in, they got the commission, and they have to move on to recruit the next person. They don’t have time to work with you because their business is built on recruiting, since they can’t possibly retail products. This is a big reason for your network marketing business failure.

Now, do you have any idea why Company #3 can afford to sell the same formula, with the added chelated enzyme for better digestion, better absorption, at $39.95? Why do you think they can do that?

“They must not have the overhead.”

Exactly. They have way less overhead than the other 2 companies. Their warehouse is in the warehouse district. No multi-million dollar home office. They take 97% of their orders automated over the internet, so they need very few actual employees.

***Company 3 Has Just a Small Fraction of The Overhead of Company 1 or Company 2***

So it’s a more distributor-friendly business model.

I’ve found that 92% of the population doesn’t like to sell and doesn’t want to be sold to. How aggressive do you think you have to be to move a box of a 30-day supply of a multi-vitamin pack at $117 each?

Pretty darned aggressive, don’t you think?

And let me ask you this. Who do you think is buying this? You don’t know anybody who’d buy it. I sure don’t know anybody who’d spend $117 for it. But they sell plenty of it. Who do you think is buying it?

It’s the distributors. The distributors are buying it. Why? Because they have to qualify to get their bonus check. That’s the only reason they’re buying it. This pricing doesn’t create a retailing behavior.

***A Real Example Of How To Use An MLM Product***

Do you know anybody who suffers from a blood-sugar disorder like hypoglycemia or diabetes?

OK. This person that you know, do you think they might know 5 or 10 other people who also suffer from diabetes?

Yes, they probably would.

OK. Well, do you think they might be interested in a product that could help them rebuild the pancreas and possibly take them off insulin or at least cut down their insulin? Do you think they’d be interested in a product like that?

I bet they would. Do you think they can afford to pay $19.95 for that product?

Sure they could. In fact, if you had that product, you could even afford to gift that to the right people, using it more or less as advertising, couldn’t you?

OK. Now what would you rather have? Would you rather have people coming to your website, purchasing this product for $19.95, all these different people sharing with each other, or would you rather be in one of those first 2 companies, trying to market a $117 multi-vitamin pack? Which one makes sense to you?

Sure. The diabetic product. And look again, why can this company afford to do this?

Because they’re streamlined. It creates a retailing behavior. You can do business this way. Anybody can purchase products at this price, because it’s affordable. Does that make sense?

Of course.

***But There’s Another Big Surprise!***

This is really interesting – guess which company of those 3 pays more to the distributor in the compensation plan and requires fewer people to get yourself to a $10,000 a month income?

Yes, it’s Company #3. How is it they can do that?

That’s right. Less overhead. And now you’re starting to get the picture. You’re understanding why it’s so tough for you to make money in network marketing.

Next question. As time goes on and the bloated business model of Company 1 & 2 continues, what is going to happen?”

Let me tell you what MUST happen. They’ll have to raise the price of the products and pay less in the compensation plan. It has to happen. There’s no other source of money for them, so there’s no other way to pay for increased expenses. They’ve created a monster that they can’t control. The only thing they can do to keep it going is to keep feeding it.

And this is where you’ll end up paying $4 for a bar of soap, $20 for a bottle of shampoo, $100 for some liquid nutritional. There are MLM companies out there right now where you can find those prices.

***Where Have The MLM Giants Gone?***

And it will get worse & worse over time. That’s why companies flat-line. You know the famous names of the big-time, old-line companies … they are flatlined.

So what do they do? They go into new countries. They open new countries, because they cannot compete in the US anymore. Their product prices are too high, their pay plan is too inadequate. Their US business & distributor base just falls by the wayside.

I recently read about a well-known nutrition juice. The article had a lot of stories of people making money. The company has an absolutely gorgeous building, all decorated in Tahitian motif. The building temperature is maintained high to be the same temperature as it is in Tahiti! They have a beautiful waterfall, a fountain in the foyer with their nutrition juice pouring out of it!

And what is this company doing to make money? They’re opening up restaurants where they’ll serve food & their juice. Now where is THAT money coming from? It’s coming out of the compensation plan, and distributors are paying for it.

They say they’re doing it to generate leads which will go to certain leaders in the company … which means that if any reps benefit, it will be the heavy hitters – the ones who’ve already built big. It’s just a way of transferring money from the part-time rep to the company and the heavy hitters … leading to many more people experiencing network marketing business failure.

You can look for product prices to increase and rep compensation to decrease. That’s the problem when your overhead is sky-high.

The network marketing business model truly does drive the behavior in the field.

As you carefully read this article you will find that it goes to the very heart of mature Time Management.

It covers things that absolutely anyone can do and takes no time at all to learn because you can already do it easily.

Can you think of anyone around you that needs this?

But before I reveal to you the most overlooked and most vital recommendation for time management, consider this..

There are three categories for Time Management.

Below are three excellent and highly recommended techniques for time management that I use all the time.

And if you pay close attention you will understand why techniques for ALL three ‘ranges’ of time are vital for an optimized approach to time management.

TECHNIQUE 1: Short-range Time Management: Daily 10-Minute On-track Review

The 10-Minute On-track Time Management Review is one of my favorite daily techniques.

In just 10 minutes we can jot down most of the things floating around in our mind and take a strong grip on them by seeing them written down.

At times we get off track, whether practically, or with our efficiency, or emotionally. When that happens I usually realize I have not done a 10 minute ‘how is it going’ self-review, so I do it then and things seem so much clearer and in my grasp.

Whenever you feel overwhelmed, try it, just jot down those buzzing thoughts, and you’ll immediately feel in far more control.

And if you already know this; if this already seems terribly simple to you..

..then I beg you this question:

How consistent are you at doing it as part of your regular Time Management operations? If you do it regularly, then that’s awesome.

But I wonder if you have got the 2nd Time Management technique in place too?

TECHNIQUE 2: For Long-range Time Management: Weekend Review

Take an hour or so every single weekend to review the past week and plan for the coming week.

I confess, I myself find this difficult to stick to, yet it’s so so so important for total Time Management.

Don’t let your brain trick you into missing this. It can be extremely hard work to think of all the messy details of how things are going and attempting to put it all in order. But don’t let your brain get away with chickening out.

“Brain, for the next hour, it’s you and me bucko!”

The Weekend Review is much like the 10-Minute Review, but the Weekend Review should include ‘everything’ in your life.

If you’ve never done this before, then it’ll be a bumpy roller coaster the first time you do it.

Have you got the guts? Have you got the foresight that it is well worth doing?

Dedicate an entire afternoon (maybe it will take a day), perhaps with a friend, to individually do a ‘mind-dump’ of everything important and significant in your life.

This will help your time management drastically because it will push your mind to be aware of projects, responsibilities, and desires that you could, should, are, or want to ultimately be doing.

And you can’t apply yourself to the very best possible time management if you are not staying optimally mindful of things, right?

Write down all the big important things in your life, present, and desired, and at the weekend check how things are going in relation to your Time Management ‘Master List’ that you update and review at the weekends.

So now we need to fill the gap between the short term 10 minute time management and the long-term big life vision time management.

TECHNIQUE 3: For Medium-range Time Management: Current Project List

Key Principle: Time Management works via taking future envisioned results, identifying their steps of achievement, scheduling them, and then acting on what is scheduled.

So technique 3 is this:

Maintain an active list of all your current projects.

This should be a list of every single active project or responsibility you have got going in your life.

It will include repeated responsibilities you have got such as the weekly shopping spree, because writing those things down will push you to fit them efficiently into your time management schedule.

You can’t have optimum time management unless you include everything you need to have time management for, right?

To conclude: There are 3 ranges of our life thus we require 3 core techniques of time management.

Always remember those three requirements.

Oh, and I promised to reveal the most overlooked yet greatest time management secret.

It’s implied in the above 3 techniques and it is this:

Write things down, don’t just let things revolve around your head.

“Don’t just think it, Ink it!”

This is the number one priority I want my clients to learn from me for their Time Management success.

Do you know the following fact established by Brian Tracy?

Writing down the things we want to do, have, and become, moves us to the top 3% of the population in terms of life success.

Most women have two types of bras: everyday use bras and sports bras. No matter what type of bras you wear, however, there are few things more uncomfortable than a bra that fits poorly. The key to being comfortable in your own skin, and feeling confident when you leave the house, is having a bra that fits correctly and comfortably; this can be achieved simply by knowing how to find a bra that fits.

Everyday bras

Getting proper measurements is the best way to begin. Most lingerie and some department stores offer this service upon request. When you know your measurements, you can begin by looking for bras that most closely fit women of your general size.

Next, you should try on a variety of bras. Do not just choose one style of bra and then “go with it.” Find a style that you think fits your personality and provides superior comfort. Under wires add to the support of the bra, while thicker padding adds inches. Take into account how you will wear the bra, and what kind of clothes you have to ensure that the bra will not cause discomfort when worn with other clothing.

When trying bras, lean forward from the waist and use the straps to pull the bra away from your breasts so that the breasts fall into the cups in a natural fashion. Make sure the band is snug, but that it does not dig into your flesh. This is the same rule for the straps. You want them snug for proper support, but you do not want them digging into your skin. Remember that bras stretch out over time. So, buy a bra that fits correctly when on the loosest clasp and with lengthened bra straps. Then as the bra stretches you can tighten straps and move to the tight clasps.

Oddly enough, it is a good idea to swing your arms, walk around, and jump in order to test support and comfort. These are all activities that you will be participating in while wearing the bra, and so it is important to ensure that you will be comfortable no matter what you are doing.

Sports bras.

The first thing to do is to select the size that is closest to your proper size and then try the bra on. Sports bras often go over the head, but some also fasten in the back or the front. You should sense for comfort, making sure that the band and the straps are not digging into your skin. If you are rather large-breasted, you need to make sure your bra has adequate support without adding pressure to the shoulders.

Most of the comfort with a good-fitting sports bra has to do with construction and material. Make sure that all liners and metal parts of the bra have plush linings to prevent irritation from exposed metal or plastic pieces. Additionally, find out the fabric content. You want something with a lycra lining to wick sweat away from your skin, and also something that provides adequate support. A cotton/polyester/lycra blend is a good choice for bra materials because it will wick while being supportive (while straight cotton is supportive, it does not wick sweat away from the skin).

Finally, as with a regular bra, make sure that you jump around to understand movement. When one is a size D cup, a compression bra is a good idea, as it will help keep from causing discomfort. Women with full D cups and large should look into encapsulation bras to better contain the movement.

And, no matter what sort of bra you are looking for, there are a few general tips:

Try on all bras, as manufacturers have different sizes. You might be a 34C with one bra maker but only a 32B with another.

Allow your bras to air dry. This will keep them from shrinking in the dryer or having the padding shifted into odd lumps. You should also use a delicate cycle or lingerie bag when using a washing machine to wash your bras.

Buy several bras when you find one you like in order to avoid finding yourself out of luck if the style is discontinued.

Make sure that you can return the bra if there are problems, especially if you are purchasing the bra online.

Organizing a messy garage is a big job, but one that’s more than feasible. Steel shelving and other storage devices can go a long way toward helping in this effort.

Cleaning a garage that’s suffered from misuse takes a little time though. Be ready for a big job, put on some work gloves and don’t be afraid to throw things out. Get started by first coming up with a plan. What do you want the garage to be used for when it’s done? Will it be used for its real purpose – housing a car – or will it function as a storage area or workshop? Maybe it will serve as a family game room with a dart board and also a workshop?

Whatever the case, if you know what you want to use your garage for when you’ve completed the project, getting started will be a lot easier since the motivation factor will be present. The first step is to get rid of things you don’t use, don’t need or simply don’t want. There’s no reason to keep that box of books that’s collected 10 years of dust. Get rid of it. Donate it to a library or school if the books are worth passing along.

Go through hazardous chemicals and household products carefully. Some items can’t be dumped in the regular trash and may require specialized disposal. Put these items into a pile for proper disposal and keep them separate from regular “trash.”

Once you’ve sorted out what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of, remove the junk. This will give you a cleaner slate to work with.

Now, set up your layout. You will want to use steel shelves to hold things such as household chemicals you want to keep, games, small tools and so on. Just be certain you install the shelving correctly and follow instructions. If small children are in the house, plan your shelving arrangement accordingly and do use anchors on the garage walls. Utilize top shelves for items little hands shouldn’t get into such as paint thinners, automotive supplies and so on.

The advantage to steel shelving in a garage is the fact it holds up very well, is generally attractive and its open face enables quick location of stored items. Since a garage isn’t typically weatherproofed to the extent the interior of the home is, steel is a great choice here.

If your room will serve multiple purposes, such as a family play area and a workshop, too, separating out the room will be in order. The shelves, if aesthetically pleasing, can go just about anywhere, but keep your shelves for storing work items in the work area. Use different steeling shelves for games, toys and so on in a different part of the garage.

A well-organized garage can add several hundred extra square feet of useable space onto a home. With a little time, effort and some planning, a messy garage can become a useable one. Steel shelving is a great inclusion in this room because of its sturdy nature, ability to hold heavy objects, the ease of use and the ability to withstand some elements.
